This is very interesting book for sailors. I thought it was going to be about pre 1900, but this guy sailed schooners from 1920-1950. The Nelly Bywater, pictured here was the last English Schooner. It was built in 186?, amazing! The shots here are from The Elusive Pimpernil in which the ship was used and actually brought up to Mont St Michelle, during its high tide. He had two daughters which I think can be just made out in the deck scene.
